Teamspeak 2 Setup Guide

Server Information:

Main Server Address: ts.swiftsword.net

Backup Server Address: tsbu.swiftsword.net:8769

Standby Server Address (backup for the backup):
radio.evradio.org:8006

Password for all (using blank login name): swiftsword

So, you've downloaded Team Speak 2... Now what? Well, this is how you connect to our Team Speak Server:

1.  Run Team Speak, you'll see this...

2. Click on connection, then connect.  You should now see this...

3. Now, right click in the big white box and select "add server", once you do this a "new server" will pop up.  Just type "swiftsword" over it and press Enter.

4.  Now, fill in everything like this, be sure to replace *yourname* with your name.  :-)  Also, use "swiftsword" for the password.  Everything else on the right side of the window should be EXACTLY like it is here.

5. Now, at this point you can click "connect" and you will connect.  Now let's setup your speakers and microphone.

6. Click on Settings in the menu and select Sound Input/Output Settings.

The output volume slider should only be set to 1 or 2 notches above normal. If you set it too high, some of your mates may sound very crackly while others do not.

Also, select "Push to Talk" and choose a key by clicking the Set button then pressing the key on your keyboard you want to be your talk button.  (I recommend the control key, but any key should work.  Some people use the center mouse button.  If you have a wheel, you can press it straight down as a button.)

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND VOICE ACTIVATION!

While voice activation works well enough, people either set the threshold too low or it activates because of background noise causing constant transmission. This is especially true if you are using speakers rather than headphones when you are in the server.

Constant transmission is bad, because it means you usually can’t hear other people talking.

If you have any questions, or need help in setting this up further, drop us an email ([email protected]) or message someone in Team Speak.

Happy chatting!
